Support to the management of guidance and training services
Melius manages training and vocational guidance services for public and private bodies.
At present, Melius is in charge with the following activities:
1. Diversified vocational guidance activities within the public employment centres of the Bologna Provincial Government
Within a lifelong context expectations of decision makers have changed towards vocational and educational guidance. Guidance is considered more and more as a transversal measure within the different LLL systems that can support reaching public policy goals in the learning, job and social equity fields.
The employment centres are considered strategic in Italy in the application of public policies in the job field, in the delivery of customised activities on users’ needs and in the delivery of integrated services for workers and employers.
In the area of Bologna there are seven public employment centres: Bologna, Minerbio, Imola, San Giovanni in Persiceto, Zola Predosa, San Lazzaro and Porretta Terme with help desks in the villages of Vado, Vergato and Castiglione.
Contents of this service delivered to the Bologna Provincial Government – Employment Unit – relate to diversified vocational guidance activities oriented to users’ inclusion into the labour market.
Melius srl is in charge with the technical and methodological management of the service and with the relationships with the employment centres.
Vocational guidance activities delivered within the service are organised as follows:
• invidividual guidance counselling
• group guidance
• group and individual actions of vocational re-planning addressed to workers of enterprises facing crisis
• tutoring actions for users at a risk of exclusion from the labour market
• group actions for an active job search
A group of 12 guidance practitioners with diversified and specific competences deliver these activities within the employment centres according to procedures and standards defined by the Bologna Provncial Government.
The consortium that manages this service is composed by ASTER soc. cons. p.a., Melius srl, Centro Studi Pluriversum and Conform.
