The conference “Job Mobilities in Europe – Relevance, Consequences, and New Challenges” will take place on 17th October 2008 in Brussels by the European Parliament.
It is the final conference of the project JOBMOB AND FAMLIVES (‘Job mobilities and family lives in Europe – modern mobile living and its relation to quality of life’), funded by the European Commission within the VI Framework Programme.
An important chance to qualify knowledge and competences of practitioners working in the vocational training field is represented by the new academic course in Vocational Training Sciences.
It has been planned by Isfol in cooperation with social parties, accredited training agencies and some universities in Italy within the project Lifelong On-line Training System (Sistema permanente di formazione on line – Spf on line), promoted by the Italian Ministry of Labour.
The first universities piloting the training course in the academic year 2008 – 2009 will be the University in Padua, Turin and Messina. The course is only addressed to vocational training practitioners.

Contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development and employment growth in some industrial districts in Europe facing re-organisation processes. This is the aim of the EC project “DIOGENES – Supporting the development of industrial reorganisation areas through self-employment and brokerage activities” that has been co-funded by the European Commission through the Lifelong Learning Programme – sectoral measure Leonardo da Vinci (2007-2010) – Transfer of Innovation.
This is the first national conference of the DIOGENES project and it is organised by Melius srl, the transnational project coordinator, with the support of the Arezzo Provincial Government - Unit EC Politics and International Co-operation, the project leader. The conference main aim is to present working tools and initiatives in order to favour the transfer of innovation and the dissemination of best practices in the field of young entrepreneurship as the engine for the local development.
